Apartment complex | Leiden (NL)
Project information

During the first edition of our in-house event Point, Grimbergen and van Putten Elektrotechniek talked to Robert van Heyningen (key account manager LED lighting). They had a great challenge. A number of HOA's in Leiden wanted to replace the conventional porch and gallery lighting with sustainable LED lighting.

Due to its versatility, the advice was to use the waterproof Prolumia LED Pro-Portal surface-mounted luminaire. This fixture has been specially developed to illuminate galleries, stairwells and storage rooms, among other things.

The dimmed function can be switched on in certain places within the apartment complexes. With this, the fixture burns at approximately 20% at rest and at 100% during movement. This option saves even more on energy costs and also "simply" meets the desired light level.

The housing and the opal lens of the fixture are made of impact-resistant polycarbonate (IK10). The luminaires were delivered to Grimbergen and van Putten Elektrotechniek via Oosterberg The Hague.

Good cooperation between the parties involved has resulted in a fast and adequate delivery of the project, where the end result may be there.
